Haircut
I gave Ella her first non-professional haircut last night. I had sworn that I'd never cut my child's hair, but the situation was becoming dire. She was born with a ton of hair and it just kept growing. So, we thought we were past the danger of it falling out. Not so much. She has recently started losing her hair (so have I, but that's a different story). Why would we cut what she has left? Well, it became even more of a mullet (don't know if that is spelled right) when the sides started going. I didn't do a bad job, if I say so myself, but it was really hard to do! We don't have any pictures of the process, because it took both of us to do it.

Ella in Exersaucer
This was the first time Ella used her Exersaucer. Isn't she cute? She loved it, and tried to eat just about every part of it.

Getting started
Well, I was about to write my first post this afternoon, when my daughter woke up from her nap. I am also starting the course a bit late and will have to do the work during naps. My daughter, Ella, is 5 months old today. I am staying at home with her for now, so my blog will most likely have a lot of Ella information in it, rather than library-type stuff.
I am working on my Master's in Library and Information Science at Simmons College in Boston. I have two courses left, which I will probably take this Fall.
I am excited about this blogging course--first, because I'd like to set up a family blog; and second, because I think it will be a helpful skill when I am working at a library.
That's it for now! Have to sleep while the baby is sleeping...
